Morehouse offers several campus-wide mailing lists to its users, a couple of which are open to the world. In addition, various departmental lists may be available. Check the list management software page for information on that.

Pay special attention to the "-l" on the end of each list name. That's a hyphen and the letter "L" (not the number one nor the singular first-person pronoun I). Each list is @morehouse.edu, so just stick that on the end to send to it. Do not send mail to things like faculty-l-bounces that you sometimes see in the headers of mails on these lists.
The links in the table above go to the subscription and general information page for each list. Please note whether or not you'll be allowed to sign yourself up before you try to do so.

everyone-l is an announcement list that should reach anybody involved with Morehouse. It'll get the students, the employees, the Friends of Morehouse, and possibly others. (In fact, this list is just a pointer to the other lists mentioned here.) This is where all announcements of a general, campus-wide, and immediate nature should go, including facilities closings, programs, special events, parking notices, and the like. If you don't know which other list to use, use this one. The message approval staff may and sometimes will limit the scope of an announcement by sending it only to a subset of the member lists.
employees-l is an announcement list to which everyone who gets a Morehouse faculty or staff email account is added. It should reach all employees. In general, postings are approved only when they come from Morehouse personnel and are of general and immediate interest to the Morehouse community. If you think some people might not have reason to be interested in your message, consider using a more specific list.
faculty-l is a list to which all Morehouse faculty are subscribed. Postings are approved a bit more liberally, assuming they come from faculty, so that it can be something of a discussion list.
students-l is an OPEN list to which anybody can subscribe and to which all Morehouse student email accounts are added when they are created. We require that those on the list be current Morehouse students. Postings are approved only from Morehouse officials, and only when they seem to be of general and immediate interest to the Morehouse student community. This list is subject to change: if you have ideas about it, email the list team.
friends-l is an OPEN list to which anybody can subscribe. The thought is that former faculty and staff, and possibly student alumni, may want to sign up for this. Members of the friends-l list get all general postings (if they're sent out properly), so they will be kept informed of meetings and programs and such going on at Morehouse. This one's an experiment--it might not work out. Your thoughts on the matter are appreciated.
